My newest design....the Bottlecap Bow! My girlfriend bought a bow like this for my daughter, Haley, and I decided I could make my own. So, I bought a bag of bottlecaps (unused) from a local brewery company here and have experimented with painting them all different colors and with different background scrapbook papers topped with any initial. The top of the bottlecap is painted with a clear glossy coat for a nice shiny finish.

I'm having a lot of fun playing with these right now... so, if you'd like one let me know which style, color of bottlecap if you want it painted (comes gold), and what background (solid/print colors?), and which initial. I'll be happy to send you some idea choices if you have the color idea in mind. Thanks!

the BIG bow!

Some more fun creations inspired by a girlfriend who had purchased some similar bows from a boutique store not in Hawaii. She brought them to show me & now I'm just using the ideas and creating my own.... If you like a BIG bow - this style is perfect!

One of my favorites to make right now is this woven headband. It can be worn alone or with a bow (on an alligator clip) attached to top or side.

Bow Holders

#1) Braided Girl Bow Holder

First bow holder I make is a hand-painted girl face with braided pigtails to clip the hairbows to. The hair can be blonde, brown, black, or red. Color bows at bottom of pigtails can be made to order including bang hairbow that is an actual bow included with holder.

#2) Ribbon Bow Holder

The second bow holder is with a more simple design. A painted animal or flower attached to approximately 3 feet of grosgrain ribbon to hang all styles and sizes of hairbows on. Bottom is detailed with small bow and beads.

New Beginnings.....

I decided to start a blog to host my creations and share with the world (whom I know has just been waiting for me). I started making hairbows shortly after my daughter was born (who will be a year old next month, *tear*). I love to do anything crafty and this was right up my alley, seeing as how my mother used to always make my hairbows! So after watching many tutorials online and talking with fellow crafters (thanks Katy and Tonya) - I decided ... "I can do this!" So, off I went on purchasing ribbon, clips, headbands, needle and thread, and all other necessary items. So, above, I'll share my creations as they come to life giving them a "name."
